Floral Ministry offers flowers to those in the area who might appreciate a small bouquet to brighten up their day. The flowers are repurposed from Stuhr’s Chapel into bouquets delivered to folks at hospitals, seniors in assisted living facilities, veterans, public servants, those in homeless shelters, hospice patients, teachers and staff in area schools, and more.

I-Beam is a mentoring program that pairs elementary school children with a caring adult who meets with them once a week during the school year to cultivate a love of reading. Water Mission is a nonprofit Christian engineering organization that designs, builds, and implements safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Since 2001, Water Mission has used innovative technology and engineering expertise to provide access to safe water for more than 3.2 million people in 52 countries. Water Mission has 250 staff members working around the world in permanent country programs located in Africa, Asia, North, South and Central America and the Caribbean. Donations collected for the Walk for Water will support Water Mission's response to the global water crisis through sustainable safe water and sanitation solutions around the world.
East Cooper Community Outreach - Founded as an emergency relief effort in 1989 after the devastation from Hurricane Hugo, (ECCO) has since grown into a permanent resource for the community in need with three main program areas: Basic Needs, Health Services and Empowerment. More than 4,500 families a year receive emergency assistance for food, clothing, household furnishings, financial aid, and have access to dental care, medical care, prescription assistance, counseling, and educational opportunities like financial literacy classes, computer skills training, job readiness workshops
My Sister's House provides services for victims of domestic violence. These include emergency shelter and counseling. The East Cooper Episcopal Church has donated clothing for children and adults as well as providing Christmas for a family in need. For more information, go to my-sister's-house.org.
Hibben United Methodist Church is the only East Cooper church that offers a cold weather shelter to those in need during extremely cold nights. The Christian Life and Learning Center (CLLC) is set up with cots for men with a separate sleeping area for women.
Guests are offered home cooked dinners, a safe, warm place to sleep, showers, hot breakfasts, and transportation to and from the church from downtown pick-up locations
Hibben’s Shelter ministry is supported by several other area churches with dedicated volunteers as well as local businesses who generously donate food and other goods.
